Due to the anticipated strike action at HMRC's call centres, the deadline for submitting your 2010/2011 tax return has been extended from 31st January 2012, to midnight on February 2nd. Tax Returns submitted by the 2nd of February will be treated as if they were submitted on the 31st January. This announcement will alleviate concerns that people who require support from HMRC will not be able to get through and miss the deadline for submission.
